- Document Description
- This project entails installing, at two demonstration sites, ultracapacitor arrays at exisitng concentrated solar photovoltaic (CPV) installations for the purpose of increasing power output stability in order to reduce requirements for utility power regulation. The site footprints of the ultracapacitor banks are minimal and the equipment will be installed at already-developed sites. Increasing power output stability from solar arrays will lessen the utilities' use of the reliance on highly-polluting "peaker" power plants.
