This project involves a grant to the California Department of Forestry and Fire Protection to acquire a 4,437 -/+ acre conservation easement (CE) on private land to protect forest land, grasslands and riparian corridors that support fish and wildlife. The property owners will continue to operate working timber forest and cattle ranch operations. The CE will protect serveral treatened species by protecting natural habitat and open space.
