Document Description
This project consists of the cutting and pruning of trees and brush for the purposes of improving public safety, improving residual tree/stand health, and reducing the stands susceptibility to wildfire. The cutting will be accomplished by hand crews with chainsaws or other appropriate hand tools. Slash generated by this project will be treated by a wood chipper. The wood chips will be broadcast back on site. Tree removal shall be limited to those less than 12 inches in Diameter at Breast Height (DBH), except for dead, dying, and diseased trees, which may be removed at any size if it is determined by CAL FIRE RPF or supervised designee that in its current state in poses a threat to public safety.
