- Document Description
- The RAW presents removal action objectives, evaluates alternatives, and describes the alternative proposed for the site. The objective of the RAW is to mitigate potential risk to human health and the environment by reducing or eliminating future exposure to arsenic-, lead- and organochlorine pesticides-impacted soils identified during previous investigations. Major elements of the removal action include (1) excavation of approximately 753 cubic yards (~1,130 tons) of contaminated soil; (2) transportation of approximately 44 truckloads of contaminated soil to an appropriately permitted off-site disposal facility; backfilling the excavations with clean fill material from on-site and/or off site sources. As required by Health and Safety Code Section 25356.1(e)(1), a 30-day public comment period for the RAW was held from May 29, 2014 through June 30, 2014. The CEQA comment period occurred at the same time.
