Document Description
The proposed project consists of operational and decommissioning schedule modifications of 16 CUPs applicable to the Applicant's wind power operation and maintenance activities within the 14,436-acre Alameda County portion of the APWRA. The project facilities consist of approximately 828 existing, operable wind turbines, with a nameplate capacity of 85.8 MW, plus existing support facilities, with a total footprint of approximately 233 acres. The Applicant is requesting a modification to its CUPs that would accomplish the following: 1) Remove the requirement for phased decommissioning; 2) Remove the seasonal shutdown requirements; 3) Provide for 100% of AWI's turbines to be shut down by the end of 2015 and decommissioned in one to two years thereafter; and 4) Evaluate shut down in 2018.
