Document Description
On January 1, 2008, new amendments to State Housing Law (SB2-2007) became effective (Government Code Section 65582, 65583(a), 65589.5, Chapter 614, Statutes of 2007). The amendments addressed a number of housing issues, including provisions that would simplify the establishment of a number of housing types including agricultural worker (farm worker) housing, supportive and transitional housing, emergency shelters and single-room occupancy facilities. The amendments are applicable to all local governments submitting draft general plan housing elements for review to the CA Dept. of Housing and Community Development including Contra Costa County.
