The improvements will be developed, owned and operated by the Fresno Irrigation District. In addition to increasing the FID's overall water supplies, other project goals and objectives include sustaining more uniform water delivery flow rates to constituents; maintaining the high quality water supply of FID; sustaining the visibility of agriculture within FID; and reducing overdraft by dedicating water to groundwater recharge.
