The proposed project is the Cucamonga Valley Water District (District or CVWD) Lloyd W. Michael Water Treatment Plant (LWMWTP) regulatory compliance upgrade. CVWD provides water and sewer within its 47 square mile service area that includes the City of Rancho Cucamonga, portions of the cities of Upland. Ontario and Fontana, and some unincorporated areas of San Bernardino County. CVWD serves a population of over 186,000 customers with approximately 45,000 water connections and 35,000 sewer connections. The District's average daily water demand is approximately 50 million gallons per day.
