Document Description
This proposal entails the establishment of a commercial mineral extraction operation on a 59.86 acre site in the AE-40 (Exclusive Agricultural, 40-acre minimum parcel size) Zone District. The proposed operation will excavate, crush and screen approximately 205,000 cubic yards of fractured basalt rock on-site with the use of portable equipment in order to produce aggregate products to be hauled away from the site for off-site sale. The proposed excavation, crushing and screening will be conducted for approximately 400 days dispersed across a five-year period, and product sales will be conducted daily throughout the five-year life of the project. The project site will be accessed from the Medford Road terminus via an existing 60 foot wide private road access easement which will be surfaced with crushed rock.
