Document Description
The proposed project is a 12-foot wide shared-use trail 5,000 feet in length connecting the east end of Carpinteria Ave to Rincon Beach County Park. Beginning at a proposed parking area at the eastern terminus of Carpinteria Ave the trail would travel southeast above Hwy 101 on a terrace towards Rincon Point until it turns to the west and descends to cross over the UPRR tracks via a 130-foot span prefabricated bridge. The trail continues until it reaches the western end of the Rincon Beach County Park parking lot where it runs along the northern edge of the Rincon Beach County Park parking lot to Bates Road, near the Hwy 101 southbound off-ramp, and ultimately to the bicycle and pedestrian trail currently being constructed along the length of Highway 101 to the community of Mussel Shoals.
