- Document Description
- An existing gabion structure within Bonita Canyon and the reach extending approximately 500 ft downstream of the structure require rebuilding and downstream grading to stabilize the area from further erosion. An approximately 30-inch wide, 110-ft long concrete-lined brow ditch also would be installed east of the graded slope and would outlet into a small patch of rip-rap to be installed at the northwest corner of the project area. An existing access/maintenance road that extends through the canyon would be used to access this area during construction. The portion of the existing access/maintenance road adjacent to the proposed cut slope would be realigned slightly to the east to allow for at least a 5-ft buffer from the top of the proposed slope; clearing and scraping of vegetation would be required. No grading would occur associated with the road alignment.
