Document Description
The Placer County Department of Public Works proposes to replace and improve the roadway and drainage facilities along 1,600 feet of Riosa Road, from approximately 9th to 13 Streets, in Sheridan. Improvements include the addition of curb and gutter on both sides of the road, asphalt concrete overlay or seal, an attached concrete sidewalk on the north side of the road, drainage inlets, underground storm drain pipe to facilitate runoff conveyance to existing storm facilities and grading improvements. The proposed street improvements on Riosa Road are anticipated to tie in with a planned Safe Routes to School project to the north of Riosa Road. The project would provide safer driving and pedestrian conditions while accommodating heavy truck traffic generated by the Cemex gravel plant to the east of Sheridan.
