Document Description
The Santa Ana Valley Pipeline Repair Project consists of the excavation and repair by installation of pre-fabricated steel sleeves into 306 feet of existing pre-stressed concrete pipeline, and the concrete encasement at the point ot entry into the Santa Ana Valley Pipeline at site number one. This work site is 2000 feet upstream of the point of entry and inside the pipe buried under Warm Creek. The second portion of the project consists of the excavation and repair by concrete encasement of thre (3) - 18 - foot sections of the Santa Ana Valley Pipeline. The repair on the East Branch of the California Aqueduct are needed due to measured overstress on the existing pipeline sections. All excavations and holes will be backfille dwith compaction, and all project areas will be restored to their pre-project condition. The purpose of the project is to improve the long-term structural integrity of the Santa Ana Pipeline. This project will have no significant adverse environmental impacts. Beneficiaries include users in the vicinity of the repair sites and the State Water Project users in San Bernardino and Riverside Counties.
