- The Department of Fish and Game (Department) is proposing to stock Sacramento Perch (Archoplites interruptis), Sacramento Blackfish (Orthodon microlepidotus) and hitch (lavinia exilicauda) to an artificial off-channel pond adjacent to Battle Creek, in Tehama County. All three fish species are native to California and the stocking location is within their historic range. Prior to the initiation of stocking, fish will be subject to health assessment by the Department's Fish Health Lab.
