Document Description
This research will demonstrate the ability of Air Independent Internal Oxidation (AIIO) technology to: A) Produce steam for electric power, heating, and/or cooling with near zero emissions, B) Produce electric power, C) Produce a product gas stream of CO2 leading to future CO@ sales, and D) Operate continuously cycling between exidation and regeneration modes. The prototype setup will employ a digester biogas and natural gas fueled 100kW (341,214 Btu/h) thermal input (approximately 9 standard cubic feet per minute of digester gas) AIIO system. Two reactors will be interconnected such that they can be switched between acting as the Fuel Reactor (FR) and the Oxygen Carrier Regeneration Reactor thus enabling continuous operation.
