Document Description
Arroyo willow (Salix lasiolepsis) will be removed or thinned. Live willow stakes taken from the thinned or removed trees will be installed along the eroded banks to provide vegetative protection and stabilization. A trench will be hand dug along the toe of the slope and a fascine of live branches will be installed in the trench and covered with material from the trench. Live willow stakes will be planted behind and among the fascine and a brush mattress will be created. A longitudinal peak stone toe protection structure (LPSTP) will be installed. Banks will be pulled back to a slope of no more than 2:1 (horizontal: vertical).
