Excess vegetation on and around the Thermalito Afterbay Dam has been deemed a dam safety issue by the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission (FERC). Therefore, DWR will vegetation on the dam embankment and within 10 feet of the toe of the Thermalito Afterbay Dam to preserve the dam's integrity.
