Document Description
Reconstruct the existing one (1) foot high dry stacked rock retaining walls in the Hearst Castle State Historic Monument flower beds E-2 and A-9 to reduce soil grade run-off. Work will relocate the existing walls totaling 66 ft in length to within 2 1/2 feet from the edge of the walkway and rebuild them to a height of one and one half (1 1/2) feet. Additionally, the wall will skirt the base of the Mexican fam palm tree. The small upper rock wall will be removed and up to 120 square feet of flower bed soils will be re-contoured and the flowers re-planted.
