Document Description
The proposed project involves the installation of two new water storage tanks by the CA Water Service Company (Cal Water) on two sites within the City of San Carlos. The sites are owned by Cal Water and are located at 3376/3384 Melendy Drive, known as Station 119, and 700 Crestview Drive, known as Station 120. Both sites currently contain existing welded steel water storage tanks with a 460,000-gallon tank at the Crestview Drive site and a 400,000-gallon tank on the Melendy Drive site. The existing tanks would remain, with one new tank installed at each site. The existing tanks would remain, with one new tank installed at each site. At Station 119 (3376/3384 Melendy Drive) the proposal is to construct a new 400,000-gallon above-ground, concrete water storage tank. The new tank would be 48 ft. in diameter and 30 ft. in height. At Station 120 (700 Crestview Drive) the proposal is to construct a new 410,000-gallon above-ground, concrete water storage tank. The new tank would have a diameter of 50 ft. and would be 29 ft. in height. The new tanks are part of a plan to expand emergency water supplies for the San Carlos water system.
