- The City proposes to replace the existing two-lane Doherty Drive Bridge with a new single-span bridge that is slightly longer than the existing bridge at approximately 52 feet. The proposed bridge will carry one through lane of traffic in each direction, together with a left-turn lane into the property locally known as the "Niven property" located immediately to the southwest of the bridge. A 5-foot-wide sidewalk and 7-foot-wide Class 2 bicycle lane are proposed on the north side of the bridge, and a 12-foot-wide Class 1 multi-use path and 7-foot-wide Class 2 bicycle lane are proposed on the south side of the bridge. The total proposed width including barriers is 69 feet.
