Document Description
The District proposes to acquire approximately 0.16-acre of the 4.31-acre city owned land to build a pump station that would move water between Service Areas 1 and 2. The capacity of the pump station on this project site could be expanded in the future, which would require installation of additional equipment in the building, but no additional ground disturbance. The project site is within 150 feet of SR-1 and immediately east of the entrance to New Brighton State Beach. The terrain has a southern aspect, gently sloping towards the Pacific Ocean with an elevation ranging from 80 to 100 feet above mean sea level. The site is covered with vegetated coast live oak and landscaped fruit trees. The lower portion of the proposed project site has a broad perennial freshwater seep wetland.
