Document Description
The proposed facility would produce "neat" biodiesel (called B100) that would have no petroleum diesel added. Footprint Recycling's fuel product is defined as methyl ester and it is derived from vegetable oils and animal fats. Projected monthly production levels of methyl ester would be 25,000 gallons. Bulk transfers will b e delivered in trucks operated by Footprint Recycling. Production site would also contain an on-site meter fuel pump. The Footprint Recycling fueling facility may not be under the same regulations as a typical gas station because methyl ester is non-toxic, non-explosive, biodegradable, and poses no health risks to humans (NREL 2009).
