Document Description
CDFW has executed Streambed Alteration Agreement no. 1600-2017-0105-R6, pursuant to section 1602 of the fish and game code to the project applicant, the city of Beaumont. The project is limited to the phased construction of a new interchange at SR 60 and Potrero Blvd. Phase 1 includes a new 6-lane Potrero Blvd overcrossing with a temporary connection to Western Knolls Avenue. Phase 2 includes westbound and eastbound diagonal and loop entry ramps (two lanes plus HOV lane); extended ramp acceleration/deceleration lanes; realignment of Eastern Knolls Avenue; and removal of Western Knolls Avenue connections to SR 60. The flow from Cooper's Creek will be temporarily diverted under the San Timoteo Bridge using a temporary creek diversion system. While the creek is dry, 21 concrete filled steel pipe piles will be constructed to widen San Timoteo Bridge. The construction of the project will permanently impact a total of 2.171 acres of area subject to CDFW jurisdiction, consisting of impacts to 0.119 acres of streambed and associated vegetation of Cooper's Creek, and 2.052 acres of impacts within unnamed tributaries to Cooper's Creek.
