Document Description
The City of Santa Clarita has prepared a Climate Action Plan (CAP). The CAP, which is required by the CA Office of the Attorney General in response to State Assembly Bill 32, is being completed pursuant to the City's new General Plan and will create strategies for the City to reduce community-wide greenhouse gas emissions. The analysis was conducted by establishing a baseline year, conducting an inventory of greenhouse gas emissions in the base year, and then forecasting greenhouse gas emissions through the year 2020, contemplating the goals, policies and objectives within the new General Plan. No new development is proposed as a part of this project.
