Document Description
A CUP to allow a vehicle wrecking yard in conjunction with a salvage or junk yard (Section 19.40.030.D.2) in an M-3 (Heavy Industrial) District. The project site is developed with Central Metal, Inc, a ferrous and nonferrous scrap metal facility which has been established on the project site without the necessary land use approvals. The purpose of the request is to allow for continued operation of the business to receive ferrous and nonferrous scrap metal and cars for recycled. Nonferrous materials include copper, aluminum, brass, and stainless steel while ferrous materials are those with iron.
