Document Description
The California Department of Transportation (Caltrans) proposs a slurry seal at the vista points (NB and SB) on State Route 49 at Kennedy Mine Road, west of the City of Jackson, in Amador County. Construction would ocur on previously disturbed areas within Caltrans right of way. The scope of work invovles: Removal and replacement of existing pavement delination Application of slurry seal at vista points (NB & SB). The procedures consists of spraying the roadbed with a mixture of slow-setting asphalt emission, fine aggregate, mineral filler, and water. The purpose and need of the project is to apply slurry to northbound and southbound vista points to provide greater safety for vehicles traveling through the historic and scenic City of Jackson.
