Document Description
The proposed project intends to perform exploratory mining for gold in the form of bulk sampling on Greenhorn Creek. Eight sampling sites have been selected for testing within the mining claim that begins approximately where Buckeye Road crosses Greenhorn Creek. Exploration will include trenching of ~50 feet in length, and 5 to 10 feet in width with an average depth of 5 feet. Each site will be 100 yd or less. Removed material will be placed in separate piles for each foot of depth and then individually tested for gold value. Excavation will be with a 580c rubber tired backhoe or smaller. Processing will be with a 16 inch by 8 foot trammel and 16 feet of sluice. Water for processing will be drafter from the excavated trench and all processed material during sampling will be returned to the excavated trench. Each location will be back filled with removed material and restored to original grade before moving to the next site.
