Document Description
This project is an Interagency Agreement with the University of California, Riverside. There are no subconstractors and there is no match funding. The budget breakout is: direct labor 33%, fringe benefits 6%, materials 2%, equipment 39%, miscellaneous 10%, and this lab has just been tapped to use its processes to help clean up the Salton Sea by gasifying algae growing in it. Results of the research project will be communicated through a final report and academic publications (journal articles). Time to market is on the order of 5 years. The next step is the development of a pilot scale demonstration plant, after which full scale implementation will be possible. There is no applicable regulatory compliance at this stage.
