Approval of a Removal Action Workplan (RAW), by the Department of Toxic Substances Control (DTSC) pursuant to Health & Safety Code, Division 20, Chapter 6.8 as submitted in March 2012 and prepared by ALFA Environmental Remediation Service, Inc. on behalf of Global Premier Development. The RAW focuses on removal of contaminated soil and groundwater. Approximately 1,700 cubic yard of impacted soil and 2,000 gallons of groundwater will be removed and trucker for offsite disposal. The purpose of the project is to restore the Site to allow for unrestricted use and for the construction of a residential housing development. Removal activities are scheduled to commence in the summer 2012 and are expected to take ~4 weeks to complete.
