Document Description
The permittee will install an underground crude oil pipeline under Poso Creek. The pipeline will be placed in a 24-inch casing that is installed via horizontal directional drilling 15 feet below Poso Creek. Two (2) pits will be dug on each side of Poso Creek, about 670 feet apart, within a 30 feet by 30 feet staging area (for a total of 1,800 square feet). The pit dimensions will be 4 feet by 5 feet and 4 feet deep. A boring tool will be used to install a 24-inch pipe casing and pipe about 15 feet below the existing creek bed in an arced path. The boreholes are located at least 50 feet away from the wetland/riparian zone established by the existence of Poso Creek. The boreholes will be filled in and reseeded with topsoil that was originally removed from the site locations.
