Document Description
DWR is proposing maintenance to restore the Roaring River Distribution System (RRDS) levee to the original project design as approved in the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers (USACE) and San Francisco Bay conservation and Development Commission (BCDC) construction permits. To function properly and provide safe driving conditions, the levee was constructed to a design elevation of 5.0 feet elevation NGVD29 or 7.7 ft., NAVD88, with a 12-foot wide crown. The RRDS includes an intake structure from Montezuma Slough consisting of eight 60-inch culverts with flap gates and slide gates. Fish screens are placed over the intake according to California Department of Fish and Game (DFG) standards.
