The American River Hatchery Emergency Levee Repair Project involves repair of a levee and construction of a new effluent outlet structure on a water detention "settling" pond located at the west end of the Nimbus Hatchery. The South Pond is one of two settling ponds that accommodates effluent outflow from the adjoining Nimbus Hatchery.
