Document Description
The proposed project consists of replacement, reconstruction and minor additions to the existing Hell Hole Water System to provide adequate water supply to the Big Meadows Campground, Hell Hole Campground and the Hell Hole Station sites in the vicinity of Hell Hole Reservoir. The project sites are located in the Eldorado National Forest. Construction includes drilling one or two new groundwater wells in the vicinity of Big Meadows Campground; installing pole-mounted solar panels to provide power for the well pump(s); providing a back-up source of power; installing a security fence around the well(s), solar panels, and back-up power source; connecting the new water well(s) to the existing water supply lines; and replacing existing water distribution lines, valves, drains, and faucets in Big Meadows Campgound and Hell Hole Campgound, as necessary.
