Document Description
The existing facility is a divided expressway (south of Gannon Slough Bridges) and freeway (north Gannon Slough Bridges) with two 12-feet wide lanes, a 5-foot wide inside median shoulder, and 8 to 10-feet wide outside shoulder in both the northbound and southbound directions. This project proposes to remove and replace roadway striping, rumble strips, and pavement markings to provide consistent 19-feet wide outside shoulders for both northbound and southbound directions. This additional width for the outside shoulders will be obtained by reducing the width of the inside (median) shoulder and #1 (inside) travel lanes by 1-foot each.
