Document Description
The U.S. Forest Service - Lake Tahoe Basin Management Unit (LTBMU) will construct rock and log structures in the Blackwood Creek channel and on the floodplain, realign select channel segments, restore connectivity to historic channels, grade floodplain surfaces, and revegete disturbed areas with native riparian species. The Water Board will regulate discharges from this restoration project by: (1) granting coverage under the Water Board's General Waste Discharge Requirements and National Pollutant Discharge Elimination System Permit for Storm Water Discharges Associated with Construction Activity in the Lake Tahoe Basin; and (2) issuing Clean Water Act 401 Water Quality Certification; and (3) granting exemptions to prohibitions contained in the Water Quality Control Plan for the Lahontan Region (Basin Plan).
