Document Description
The Major Modification to CUP 4438 is a request by the applicant to demolish 1,341,755 sf of greenhouses and lath houses (approved under CUP Case No. 4438) that grow ornamental nursery kentia palms, and replace those structures with the construction a 1,471,999 sf greenhouse facility to grow lettuce hydroponically. In addition, 84,547 sf of new structures is proposed. The applicant has proposed to construct a new left hand turn lane into the site within the median on Rose Avenue and a right hand turn pocket on the western shoulder of Rose Avenue. In addition, the applicant proposes to replace the existing driveway with a new 78 foot wide driveway. The driveway will also be relocated to the southeastern corner of the lot, abutting Rose Avenue.
