The California Department of Fish and Game is executing a Lake and Streambed Alteration Agreement pursuant to Section 1602 of the Fish and Game Code to the Project applicant, Mr. John Kilpatrick, representing California American Water. The Project is limited to a geotechnical investigation and construction and installation of an interim downstream fish passage that will allow for the migration of juvenile steelhead (smolts) and post-spawn adults (kelts) as described in the Los Padres Dam Downstream Fish Passage Project Streambed Alteration Agreement - Additional Pages and the Plans, Sections, Details and drawings prepared by HDR, Inc., and submitted with Notification No. 2011-0084-R4. The interim downstream fish passage will be comprised of the behavioral guidance system (BGS); the floating weir surface collector; the bypass conduit, and bypass outfall.
