Document Description
The applicant is seeking a CUP to operate as a brew pub/restaurant and to allow the sale and dispensing of a full line of alcoholic beverages for on-site consumption, a Coastal Development Permit for being located within the Coastal Zone, Project Permit Compliance for its location in the Coastal Transportation Corridor Specific Plan area, and Project Permit Compliance for its location within the Venice Coastal Zone Specific Plan where the applicant intends to decrease the interior service area from 1,272 s.f. to 100 s.f. and an increase in the outdoor service floor area from 250 s.f. to 818 s.f. as well as a parking calculation for the revised restaurant floor plan. The existing 1,249 s.f. restaurant has been in operation within the one-story commercial building for approximately 2 years. It proposes to seat 60 patrons within the outdoor patio and 20 patrons indoors along the bar area. However, during times of inclement weather, the applicant will adjust seating to be accommodated indoors but will not exceed 60 patrons. The proposed hours of operation are Sunday through Thursday from 8:00 am to Midnight, and Friday through Saturday from 8:00 am to 2:00 am with alcohol sales daily.
