Document Description
The Templeton Community Services District proposes minor changes to its Wastewater Flow Re-routing Project. The environmental effects of the project were previously evaluated in prior environmental documentation. The project was approved by TCSD on May 22, 2012. A NOD for the project was filed on May 25, 2012. The Project Changes consist of shifting the enclosure at the Volpi Ysabel Lift Station 15 feet to the west and replacing the two existing pumps at the West Side Lift Station. The area of the enclosure at the Volpi Ysabel Lift Station is 32 feet wide and 42 feet deep. The enclosure will be shifted seventeen feet to the west. Two new 133 HP pumps will be installed at the existing West Side Lift Station. The existing lift station was designed for District wastewater build-out. The new pumps will replace existing smaller, less efficient pumps. The size and capacity of the new pumps were contemplated in the original design of the lift station. The lift station will convey the wastewater through an existing force main to a manhole north of the intersection of Vineyard Drive and Bennet Way where it enters the gravity collection system and flows to the District's WWTP. TCSD is now seeking federal funding and is required to complete the environmental review of the Project in compliance with NEPA. Because the previous NCEQA documents were adopted before the TCSD decided to seek this funding, this Addendum to the previous CEQA documents also addresses the additional environmental review needed for NEPA compliance. With respect to the environmental review of the Project Changes and the CEQA Plus review, no new or additional environmental review so the Project Changes and the CEQA Plus review, no new or additional environmental impacts were identified and therefore, no new mitigation measures are required.
