Document Description
Install a water line to deliver water from the Big Basin Redwoods State Park water system to the four domestic and fire protection storage tanks at the Little Basin campground to provide a reliable source of water. Work will excavate a trench approximately 4200 feet long, 12 inches wide and 6 inches deep. Install approximately 4,500 feet of 2 inch diameter water pipe line primarily beneath existing roads and trails. A 29 foot portion of pipeline will be connected to an existing bridge crossing Blooms Creek and to avoid erosion potential, an approximately 536 foot portion of proposed pipeline will be installed above ground, camouflaged with forest duff and vegetation. In addition, a 500 gallon pump tank, various valves and associated plumbing will be installed at the Gate House in an existing park facility area.
