Document Description
The project would install 35 rain gardens with a total volume of 62,000 gallons. Each Rain Garden is 4 feet wide, 50 feet long and 3 feet deep and would provide treatment for stormwater runoff. The objective of the project is to help meet the goals of the Santa Monica Bay Restoration Plan. The goals of the project are: to improve water quality throught pollution prevention and source ocntrol; and to protect public health through achievement of zero beach closures and posting at Santa Monica beaches. The project is intended to meet the total maximum daily load (TMDL) limits for trash, bacteria and metals.
