Document Description
Replace failed retaining wall along west side of parking/vehicle turn around area and install a chain link fence around the Burlington Water Treatment Plant in Humboldt Redwoods State Park to ensure security of domestic drinking water supply. Work will install soldier piling with a timber lag type wall and erect 8 ft. tall zinc coated with neutral brown color vinyl coating chain link fence around perimeter of the Burlington Water Treatment Plant. Wall is approximately 95 ft. long with maximum height of 48 inch. Wall work will require minimum excavation of fill material behind and underneath existing wall. Fence work will manually excavate 40 holes on 10 ft. centers 18" diameter x 30" deep to install approximately 350 ft. of chain link fence, a 12 ft. wide vehicle gate and 4 ft. wide pedestrian gate near the southwest corner. The location of post holes can be varied to avoid removal of any roots over 2" diameter.
