Document Description
This project will replace the failing water service by rerouting the waterline to the beach water spigots located at the swim beach area at Clear Lake State Park to provide a reliable potable water source to ensure the visiting public has access to nearby water. Work will excavate a 400 foot long trench to a depth of 18 inches by 10 inches wide, run from the east side of the swim beach restroom traveling east toward the beach then turning north along the beach ending at the group picnic area on the North side of the parking lot. A 3/4 inch schedule 40 PVC water line will be installed in the trench; the trench will be backfilled with a layer of sand, topped off and compacted with the excavated soil and aggregate. There are three existing water spigots that will be connected to this new water line with an additional spigot being installed at the group picnic site. Additionally a 60"x60" wide 4" thick concrete pad will be installed for the water spigot. A drain system will be installed immediately adjacent to the new spigot consisting of a dry sump using a concrete box, the box and excavation will be 2' wide x 3' long x 3' deep.
