Document Description
Using only state funds the California Department of Transportation will place a scrub over the entire paved surface on the north 4.3 mi. of (SR) 274 in Plumas County. All work will occur in the traveled way. Parking & material stockpiling will occur in establish turn-outs. A work avoidance window will be in affect from February 1 to July 31 (inclusive) between PM 6.20 and 8.3 (from the first bridge over Little Chance Creek to the Dam). No construction activities will occur, in this area, during the work avoidance window. No work will occur on the concrete bridge decks. The existing asphalt concrete is showing heavy oxidation and cracking. This project will seal the cracks and rejuvenate the pavement preventing water infiltration and restoring asphalt elasticity.
