Document Description
The project consists of approval of a pilot study work plan for Rainbow LLC (Rainbow) to conduct a pilot study of ozone sparging as a cleanup technology. The pilot study will provide valuable information to determine whether ozone sparging is an effective technology for destruction of volatile organic compounds in groundwater. The primary contaminants of concern are the industrial solvents tetrachlorethene (PCE) and trichloroethene (TCE), which each have a drinking water maximum contaminant level of ive (5) micrograms per liter. The anticipated timeframe of the pilot study is three months active treatment followed by three months of monitoring.
