Document Description
The California Department of Public Health (Department), as the Lead Agency, will be issuing a water supply permit to California Water Services - Stockton for the addition of an Iron and Manganese treatment system to an existing water treatment facility. The treatment will include injection of sodium hypochlorite into the groundwater immediately after it is pumped from the existing well to oxidize manganese, then passed through a greensand filtration system to remove the oxidized manganese. The addition of this treatment system will not result in any additional expansion of the existing treatment facility at Station 36.
