Document Description
The Department of Toxic Substances Control (DTSC) is approving a final Remedial Action Plan (RAP) for Mountain Lake pursuant to authority granted under Chapter 6.8, Division 20, California Health & Safety Code (H&SC). The purpose of the RAP is to implement remedial actions for Mountain Lake that is protective of public health and safety and the environment. Mountain Lake is a natural lake located at the southern edge of the Presidio of San Francisco. Sediment at Mountain Lake was contaminated with metals and petroleum chemicals from roadway surface water runoff. The selected remedial alternative for Mountain Lake is sediment removal and offsite disposal.
