Document Description
Pleasant Grove Verona Mutual Water Company (PGV) has a service area of approximately 11.5 square miles. Wetland crops, alfalfa, wheat, tomatoes and corn are grown within the service area. High flows 2009-2010 caused excess sediment to flow in the Natomas Cross Canal and overtopped the rock-dam causing sedimentation build-up. The project will dredge to remove approximately 3,000-5,000 cubic yards of sedimentation that is constructing the intakes from diverting water. Other project components include minor operation and maintenance activities as needed. Site operations and maintenance will consist of debris removal from structures, reapir of channel banks and trimming over-grown or over-hanging vegetation if needed.
