Document Description
In order to meet the federal arsenic maximum contaminant levels (MCL), the Lewiston Community Services District/Lewiston Valley Water Company (LCSD/LVWC) proposes to relocate the infiltration gallery to a location on LCSD property approximately 2,800 feet downstream of the existing intake in Lewiston, CA. The proposed infiltration gallery would be constructed in a large gravel bar built in August 2008 as part of the U.S. Bureau of Reclamation's Trinity River Restoration Program. Water would be piped from the infiltration gallery to a new raw water pump station and, from there, into a 2,675-foot long raw water pipeline that leads to LCSD/LVWCs existing water treatment plant (WTP).
