Document Description
The project is to close and backfill an existing City-owned detention basin (Basin PC-S18) for sale and eventual development in accordance with its underlying land use and zoning designation (Regional Retail Commercial). The detention basin property contains 2.10 acres, located on the north side of Packwood Creek and 186 feet west of Mooney Blvd. The project proposes to decommission the basin and to re-route the three inlets into the basin along the west edge of the site, across Packwood Creek to the south, and eventually into an existing City-owned detention basin located at the southwest corner of Cameron Parkway and Woodland St. The total length of drainage piping installed with the projects is 1,900 linear feet. The existing dual-pump lift station at Basin PC-S18 will be demolished and the pumps will be relocated near the new terminus detention basin. The route of the new drainage piping will cross through and along Packwood Creek beginning south of the western edge of Basin PC-S18 and ending 700 feet further to the east.
